This book will introduce students to vocabulary and terminology related to da’wah, topics and issues in Islam, stories of the Prophets, guidance on carrying out da’wah, public speaking skills, and how to deliver simple oral da’wah. I created this book because I found it quite difficult to find teaching materials for English for Specific Purposes, especially for aspiring da’i. It is also not easy to find materials that are simple, practical, and relevant to this field.
The book is intentionally kept simple, as its effectiveness depends on how teachers apply it in the classroom. The level of difficulty can be adjusted, and this book serves as a basic guide only. The content is limited, as it was designed for 14 class meetings in the Program Khusus Ulama (PKU) at UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, which is intended for female students. Nevertheless, I hope it will be useful for teachers who may be asked to teach English to future Islamic scholars.
